Turmeric, made from the root of the curcuma plant, has been used in Indian and Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric. It has proven to have anti-inflammatory and immune boosting properties.
Turmeric teas: Use freshly grated or powdered. Keeping the turmeric root in the freezer makes for easy grating. The curcumin can stain so be aware!
